I recently purchased a LTE Sim. It has successfully provisioned however I am having difficulty
registering the device. I do not see much documentation with regards to the A6 GSM with
Aeris Sim.         AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","iot.aer.net"  OK PDP Context list updated sucessfully
AT+CGDCONT?  OK.        No IP is assigned. No data session. No ping. No registration. What am
I missing.

Hi Roger,

Thank you for providing the ICCID, I see from checking the device that your observations fall in line with what we see as well.  The device is not attempting any cellular registration.  Have you been able to confirm the coverage?

Do you have the ability to check the units RSSI/signal strength?

HI Roger,

Looking further specifically at your device confirmed that A6 GSM Modem confirms it is a GPRS device. Unfortunately, AT&T shut down their 2G GPRS network on 12/31/16  so that service is no longer available. Your options are to either get a 3G HSPA/HSPA+ or LTE device (to use with the AT&T SIM) – or get the Global 2G supported SIM.  Hope this information provides the info you need.

Hi Roger,

That SIM is showing register on the network attempting to send SMS and initiating data.  There is no data transmitting but the session is establishing and SMS MT is reporting general failure.  Have you confirmed the coverage is reliable in the location in which the device is located?  Also what is the RSSI or signal strength of the device?  Greatly appreciate your input.
