dashboard diagnostics response time

I am currently trying to debug an issue where Aeris shows 1KB+ data from device and ~0.5KB data to device, when in reality I am sending 50bytes and receiving less than 5 bytes.

I am trying to monitor the device diagnostics page. The control items (registration, data session active etc) seem to be real time. However, the packet started/stopped information is lagged. Sometimes it appears to be lagged by more than 15 minutes. Is this normal?

Also is it possible to access the packet data that Aeris sees, so that I can compare with what I believe that I am sending and receiving?

Thanks

Hi Jai,

Thanks for the post. Can you provide details about how you're transmitting data (device, commands, etc.)?

Regards,
Bob

Bob,
one clue.
This happens when I try to replicate the transmit data packet tutorial in your site. The at commands to activate the pdp context for my modem are
at+cgatt=1
+CGATT:1
OK

at+cgact=1,1

OK

This is what i get when I check for PDP context
at+cgdcont?
+CGDCONT: 1,"IP","neo.iot.net","10.136.73.170",0,0
+CGDCONT: 2,"IP","","0.0.0.0",0,0
+CGDCONT: 3,"IP","","0.0.0.0",0,0

The manual says that at+CGDATA="PPP" needs to be set for data transfer. Once I set this it starts giving garbage like below.

~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~~ÿ}#À!}!}!} }3}"}&} } } } }#}%Â#}%}'}"}(}"W}0~
NO CARRIER

When I try to ping without setting CGDATA="PPP" it says that PDP is deactivated.
