Incoming SMS Gateway/Number

During programming the Queclink device I'm using is asking for an SMS Gateway (Phone Number) to accept SMS messages from and send confirmations to.

What should I list for the Aerport gateway? Is there a set number/id the SMS will be sent from to the device? I believe I need to predefine a gateway in order for the unit to accept an SMS from it.

If there isn't a predefined ID/gateway that the SMS comes from is there a way I can have one set?

When Aerport says the SMS was sent successfully does that mean it was actually confirmed as received by the device? Also is there a way I can view SMS replies in Aerport without a custom API?

Thanks for the post. The SMS gateway number is defined in Neo SIMs so no need to configure it. Keep in mind transmitting MT- and MO-SMS with Neo SIMs requires the use of AerFrame (which is accessible either through your application or through “Send SMS” on the portal).

When the AerFrame API reports that an MT-SMS was successfully sent to a device it’s doing so based on an acknowledgement from the device.

Device replies or MO-SMS from a connected device can only be seen using the AerFrame API call from your application - they aren't available on the portal.
