I have registered and assigned my Aeris SIM Card to a data plan. At my dashboard registration is loading. I have tried to assign an APN to this SIM Card through a modem but am not able to. How do I assign an apn to a device with a static IP Address.

Thank you for contacting Aeris Neo support. APNs are programmed using one of the following methods:
  • Manually program using an AT command. Requires access to an AT console.
  • Enter APN using a web GUI, if supported by the device
  • Configure using MT-SMS, if supported by the device

The APN for the 2G/3G network is neo.iot.net.

Kind regards,
Aeris Neo Support

Hey Bob,

How do I assign a static ip to this SIM. The IP jumps around every time the modem is powered on/off.

Don,

Neo does not support static IP at this time. It's possible that could change in the future but it's not currently on the roadmap.

Bob

On my Aeres Dashboard network is up and data is allowed but registration is still loading. I can see the SIM in the modem which also says "network ready" , but registration and data session are still loading. Do you know why this is?

Don,

Our network operations team is working to resolve this issue. Our initial analysis is that our carrier partner isn't acknowledging requests for registration details but we're working with them to confirm whether or not that's the case.

We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Regards,
Bob

I have a static IP setup in a modem 166.166.xxx.xxx To an Sierra wireless airlink. We have a dynamic Verizon IP set to this modem. Also it has been tested with a Verizon SIM CARD setup with a static IP. When I insert my Aeres SIM card the IP address changes to 10.163.22.34. I need this IP address or something similar set to a static IP address vs. dynamic so that the IP address does not change every time the modem resets.

Hi Don,

As I mentioned previously, Neo doesn't currently support static IP assignment. All IP addresses are assigned dynamically.
