Hello,
I am a student in senior design. I am using Seeed Studio GPRS Shield here is a link to the device.

http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/GPRS_...

I am using an Arduino Uno.

I am using the serial monitor that the wiki shows. I can enter AT commands and get a response but when i try to send an SMS message form the modem with the areis sim card in it, to a cell number I get an error.
Can I use the Areis sim card for this function?

Here is my info

ICCID:89185014080500235022
IMSI:204043396121112

Thank you for your time,
J

Hi Jason,

Thanks for the post. In order to send SMS with your Neo SIM you need to locate it on the Devices tab and click the Diagnostics icon. You'll see the Send SMS button on the lower left portion of the page.

Regards,
Bob

Hi Jason,

There are two ways to transmit SMS using a Neo SIM:

  1. send MT-SMS from the Devices tab as I described in my previous post
  2. transmit MO- or MT-SMS using the AerFrame API.

Regards,
Bob
