Hi Mike,

Please help us understand your test environment and flow:

what device are you using for the test?
is the SIM inserted properly and the device powered on?
have you tried more than one device?

Regards,
Bob

Hi Bob,

You are asking me the same type of questions I asked a week ago and I never received answers:
">In your lab, what hardware development board and what GSM shield?i.e. other than Telit, what other boards?  Arduino, etc.?
What GSM shield?
"

SIM inserted properly and device powered on.  Tried another SIM from Aeris batch of 10 SIM.  Please advise.

Hi Mike,

When we test an Aeris GSM SIM to see if it registers in the network we use an unlocked Android handset. There is no development board or GSM shield involved.

The reason we’re asking which device you’re using, whether it’s powered on with the SIM properly inserted,  and whether you’ve tried more than one device (and more than one SIM) is we don’t see any registration activity in our network logs for your SIMs. If you can tell us your test location/address and help us understand which test devices you’re using we’ll do our best to help solve your problem.

Regards,
Bob

Bob,

I live 4 miles from Aeris HQ.
I'm open to boxing up my setup and demonstrate issues first hand.
This would be ideal yet doable in my view.
Let me know your thoughts as I have limited time to work on this project.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Our network is compatible with any GSM Radio Module that is FCC approved and does not require additional certification/approval. We've tested Aeris SIMs with Sierra and Telit GSM radio modules, as well as unlocked Android handsets.

It's difficult for us to advise you when we don't know what device you're using to test your SIM. We've asked a few times but you haven't told us which device you're using. We're not setup to troubleshoot customer hardware issues but we suspect your issue may be tied to the device. If you'll let us know what device it is we may be able to offer advice.

Regards,
Bob

I have a similar issue. Even if data is flowing - sometimes the dashboard will show that the sim is not registered.
What does this mean? Does it mean that the SIM got disconnected?
If this SIM gets disconnected, do we need to clear registration in the dashboard and wait 90 minutes before trying to establish a connection?
